RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

VETERANS NOUVELLE GENERATION CANADA

Veterans Nouvelle Generation Canada is a private group. It is also protected by copyright in Canada. As a result, any person who reproduces or uses all or part of our name or logo, without prior written permission, may be subject to legal action.

This group was created to allow members to get together, stay in touch and share. Regrouping is about becoming your second family that you lost when you left the Canadian Armed Forces. The team wants to support you and refer you to help resources according to your need.

The members of the Veterans Nouvelle Generation Canada group identify with each other and with the public through their crests.

The crest belongs to the non-profit organization to which you have made a donation. The crest does not belong to you, it is loaned to you for an indefinite period. The member must never forget that when he wears his crest, he represents the whole group. Irresponsible and disgraceful behaviour or serious criminal conviction will not be tolerated, depending on the case, the member may have his badge removed by the founders and it will be returned to the non-profit organization.

It is totally forbidden to wear the crest in any demonstration or any inappropriate place, such as a 1% gathering, under penalty of expulsion of the regrouping and removal of the crest. Once your jacket is put on, you represent the grouping, you have to defend the opinions of all the members of the grouping, let’s be respectful of all.

Note: When a member dies, the crest will be automatically handed over to the estate permanently as long as no one can ever wear it again.

We have an official annual meeting that is the Thunder Ride Trois-Rivieres that takes place on the last Sunday in May of each year, this meeting is to pay tribute to the veterans of yesterday and today.

We are a group of Canadian military personnel from all active and retired occupations who have served in the Canadian Armed Forces. Veterans Nouvelle Generation Canada was designed for all veterans with and without missions. The Canadian army would not be an army without the contribution of all trades, let us be a family united by force. Whether you are a reservist or a regular, we consider that we have all carried out our duty to wear the uniform with the same feeling of defending our rights and freedoms on behalf of the Canadian flag. If the Canadian government in its description of a veteran says that a person who has completed his military training sees himself as a veteran by the state, our organization considers him as well.

There are no annual fees, membership fees or association fees. To become a member of the association, you will be asked to make a donation. The Thunder Ride Trois-Rivieres raises funds to build and preserve the monuments of Canada’s Veterans. This amount will include the cluster crest as well as some patches that will be loaned to you for the duration of your membership. When your membership is accepted you can order new badges through our Quarter Master, all profits will be paid in full to the non-profit organization.

Your jacket must be black or brown leather. The dark represents the mourning of our fallen brothers and sisters in battle. All badges must be worn the same way for everyone (see appendix at the bottom). Wings for parachutists, pathfinders and combat divers are permitted.

You can also have your mission ribbons embroidered and affixed to your jacket, as long as its ribbons and medals have been recognized by our Canadian government. Your medals must be worn on the left side of the jacket at heart level, none on the right side. Medals will be worn at special events only.

No criminal affiliation. No 1% badges will be tolerated in the Veterans Nouvelle Generation Canada group. Although several members own a motorcycle, we are not a motorcycle club, we are a group of veterans and their families.

All applications will be analysed by the founders themselves and each application must be signed and accompanied by a document proving each medal and service. So before you complete your membership, be sure to have your documents in good standing. If you ever have trouble obtaining them, we will be pleased to help you in your efforts so that everything is in order. Take the time to read the rules of engagement, the mission, the values of the group so that it meets your values too.

Other emblems

Any other status crest in the grouping will be identified by a rocker under the main crest.

There will also be a crest on the front of the jacket as shown in the attached photo to identify the rank or status of that person.

All the other members are equally important to us, the members of the veterans' group are responsible for what they represent. Be warned we are a group of veterans and appearance and pride will be important, do not forget.

Ladies (spouse) / Supporter (husband)

Only Ladies/Supporter’s Veteran are allowed to wear this crest after a minimum cohabitation of one (1) year. The rocker will be worn below the cluster patch as well as on the front of the jacket.

Follow applicable rules of engagement guidelines.

As a principal member, it is your duty and responsibility to be well represented by the members of Veterans Nouvelle Generation Canada and the badge associated with them.

Son / Daughter

This title is authorized for children of veterans who are members of the association only.

It should be noted that wearing the Supporter crest is a privilege. To become a Supporter member, the person must be sponsored and recommended by a veteran and accepted by the 6 founders.

The supporting candidate will have to wait a probationary period of at least one (1) year, during which he or she will have to demonstrate his or her interest and commitment to the regroupment and the cause of the veterans and regrouping. The supporting member undertakes to integrate into the group according to the rules of engagement and to adhere to the fundamental principles of our mission, vision and values.

Veterans who wish to sponsor a supporter must know that the ratio will be national 1:50. The supporter will be chosen by the 6 founding members unanimously. He will have to have very good value and a very good reference to join the members of Veterans Nouvelle Generation Canada.

Given our great openness to all veterans groups, we don’t see the need to have a large number of supporters in our ranks. So when you see one, it will be exceptional.

As a principal member, it is your duty and responsibility to be well represented by the members of Veterans Nouvelle Generation Canada and the badge associated with them.

If a conflict arises between the supporting member or its sponsor and or even other members of the grouping, the established facts will be communicated to the founders who will take action.
